The Earth's climate is changing throughout the years, yet the last 50 years have seen the most significant changes to the global temperature resulting in extreme weather events, consequently having a major impact on the communities that we serve. It is critical to think & predict future anomalies and responses to them now, as it may be the most critical part in race of saving billions of people around the world. A Project Manager could play a key part in saving millions of lives!

Drawing on broad experiences, the case study will explore the programme management and technology approaches that can help Project Managers deal with fast track, high volume and emergent scope while delivering the critical benefits to impacted communities, within the boundaries of traditional constraints.

The talk will focus on learnings from post disaster rebuilds across multiple infrastructure assets across the globe, including the multi award winning Cumbria Infrastructure Recovery Programme. Takeaways will include Programme management strategies, use of technology toolkits and novel contracting methodologies that can be applied to a diverse set of projects.

He has specific interest in post-disaster response and putting together multi-disciplined delivery teams in dynamic and emergent environments.
