June 2023 | ACTION: Volunteer - Individual action and the Climate Fresk by Sam Baker & Stuart Thorp

We introduced the idea of the Climate Fresk at our last 7 Minutes and Counting talk on the Environment System.  To follow on from that, Sam Baker will be taking us through a short introduction to what the Climate Fresk is and how we could get involved.  Stuart Thorp will also give a short talk on how we can contribute to the UN SDGs as individuals.

Sam Baker 

Putting c. 30 years consulting experience to use helping the system and, specifically business, transition to a low carbon, more sustainable future. Key areas of competence include coalition building, initiative/ campaign origination and development, system thinking, corporate purpose and strategy, business model design, innovation, ESG and impact reporting, education

Stuart Thorp

Stuart has a Technology / Engineering background; he developed optoelectronic technology which enabled the modern internet. His career progressed to manage Projects and then Programs for Global corporations across many sectors (including Telecoms, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical, Financial, Automotive). His interest in the Environment has progressed into recognising the need to take personal action to tackle the Climate Crisis. Since Jan 2023, he has stepped out of full-time corporate activity to focus on mobilising Climate Action on a global scale. He is now actively working with PMI colleagues as part of this global mobilisation.
